New models now available as part of HIV-TRePS v5.3.2.0

Dear RDI subscriber

We are writing to you today to tell you about the latest advance with the HIV Treatment Response Prediction system - HIV TRePS.

We have today installed new computational models that make treatment response predictions for cases without a genotype, with improved accuracy. The models achieved an area under the ROC curve of 0.80 when tested with an independent validation set of 1,000 cases.

Importantly, these models were the first we have trained with a substantial number of cases from resource-limited settings among the 22,567 training set, including over a thousand from southern Africa. During testing, the models performed comparably well with southern African test cases as with the global test set.

We hope this development enhances your use of HIV-TRePS.
